Sailing Instructor and Race Coach

Cold Spring Harbor Beach Club in New York is looking for sailing instructors and race coaches for its junior sailing programme. The work involves coaching sailors aged 8 to 16, from beginners to advanced, across the summer season. The main season runs for eight weeks from mid-June to mid-August.

The role:

• Coach beginner and advanced junior sailors in Optimist, ILCA (Laser), RS Feva and Club 420 boats
• Promote a positive, encouraging sailing environment that reflects the club's culture
• Focus on safety, technique and sportsmanship
• Help with other on-water activities such as SUP, kayak and powerboating when needed
• Follow and enforce safety protocols on and off the water
• Keep parents and guardians informed about progress, schedules and programme updates
• Support sailors in training for and during regattas

What's on offer:

• Pay of $20.00–$30.00 per hour
• Full-time hours during the eight-week main season
