Yacht Manager

Hill Robinson is a yacht management and crew agency. It is looking for a Yacht Manager for its USA office in Fort Lauderdale. The Yacht Manager is the central point of contact for vessel operations, helping to keep fleet yachts running safely and smoothly and reporting to owners.

The role:

• Act as the main point of contact for captains and crew
• Monitor monthly budgets, approve invoices and prepare monthly and yearly owner reports
• Coordinate and review insurance, communications and vendor contracts
• Maintain compliance with national and international maritime regulations, working with Flag states, Class societies and Port State Control
• Carry out compliance audits and inspections, review ISM meetings and update safety manuals
• Support yachts in emergencies, including incident reporting and insurance claims
• Manage crew employment procedures, contracts, appraisals and payroll queries
• Assist with refit work and arrange statutory Class and Flag surveys

• At least 2 years of industry-specific experience
• Demonstrated knowledge of the yachting industry, including operational, technical and ISM matters
• College degree or related degree preferred, or equivalent experience
• ISM Auditor's Course or other maritime training an advantage
• Experience as yacht crew or in a similar role beneficial
• Strong organisational skills and proficiency in MS Office, databases and social media
• Excellent spoken and written English; French or Spanish beneficial
• Willingness to travel when required
