Deck/Stew

Oyster Yachts is looking for an experienced sailing Deck/Stew to join a professional crew of four aboard a world-cruising Oyster 885, starting in Gibraltar in December. The yacht crosses the Atlantic in January and heads for the Panama Canal and the Pacific.

The role:

• Provide polished, consistently high standards of service whenever the owners are on board
• Work as part of a small crew of four on a private sailing yacht
• Carry out deck duties and keep watch as a competent watch-keeper
• Support a transatlantic and Pacific cruising programme, with remote and adventurous cruising
• Sail on to further destinations that may include Indonesia and possibly Japan

• STCW
• ENG1
• Level 2 Hygiene
• Established Stew or hospitality background
• A couple of seasons on sailing yachts
• Competent watch-keeping
• Happy to share a bunk cabin with a female crew member
• Easy-going, honest and practical character with the ability to work in a small team
• Strong references
