Third Officer

Seven Seas Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a client for a Third Officer on a 75m+ new-build Lürssen motor yacht. The yacht is starting an extensive world-cruising programme, with the officer due to join in late October or early November.

The role:

• Support the senior officers with the safe navigation and day-to-day operation of the yacht
• Take an active part in the wider deck department
• Work with senior officers and junior deck crew
• Help with onboard activities such as fishing, diving and water-sports
• Interact with children, who are regularly part of the onboard programme

• Annual training allowance of up to $2,000, available after probation

• Valid OOW 3000 ticket
• Approximately one to two years' yachting experience as a Third Officer or in a similar role
• Good leadership potential and strong communication skills
• Friendly, approachable manner and confidence with younger guests
• Experience or qualifications in fishing, diving, tender operations or water-sports is advantageous
• Non-smokers only; visible tattoos considered at the Captain's discretion
