PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer (CODESYS Expert)

Sunreef Yachts is looking for a PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer with strong CODESYS expertise to join its team in Ras Al-Khaimah. The role centres on building scalable, modular automation systems and real-time control software.

The role:

• Develop, test and maintain PLC applications on the CODESYS V3.x platform
• Design software architecture using FB, FBD, ST, LD and SFC
• Create reusable, modular CODESYS libraries and custom function blocks
• Configure task scheduling and real-time execution
• Carry out I/O mapping and device configuration
• Debug using monitoring, breakpoints and trace tools
• Integrate systems through APIs and industrial protocols
• Support commissioning and troubleshooting

• Strong experience with CODESYS V3.x, including function blocks, library creation, GVL and persistent variables, state machine design, CODESYS Visualization and SoftPLC environments
• Experience with IEC 61131-3 programming and real-time control systems
• Industrial protocols: Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP/IP, CAN Bus / CANopen, OPC UA and MQTT
• Linux-based systems, REST APIs (HTTP/HTTPS, JSON/XML), TCP/IP, sockets and serial communication
• Experience with IoT and edge devices
• Strong debugging skills, clean modular coding and good documentation
• Preferred: industrial cybersecurity knowledge, Docker, PID tuning, marine or yacht automation experience
