Production Planning and Efficiency Manager

Marine Resources is recruiting for a respected manufacturer of bespoke luxury tenders for the superyacht sector, based in the Southampton area. The client needs a senior Production Planning and Efficiency Manager to support a period of growth. The role is initially a contract of 3 to 6 months, focused on reviewing production processes and improving planning without lowering quality standards.

The role:

• Develop and manage production plans across multiple vessel builds
• Review current manufacturing processes and identify improvements
• Drive efficiencies, reduce bottlenecks and improve workflow
• Monitor build progress and make sure project milestones are met
• Work closely with production, engineering and leadership teams
• Implement practical continuous improvement initiatives
• Help resolve production challenges and delivery risks
• Set up planning and reporting processes to support future growth

• Proven experience in production planning, manufacturing, operations or build management
• Background in marine, yacht building, composites, aerospace, automotive or other high-value manufacturing
• Strong understanding of production scheduling and resource planning
• Experience identifying and implementing operational improvements
• Comfortable working on the shop floor and engaging with production teams
• Commercially aware with a proactive, solutions-focused approach
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
