Work Planner (Werkvoorbereider) Technical Services

Damen Shiprepair Rotterdam is part of the Damen Shiprepair & Conversion group, which carries out maintenance, repair, conversion and refit work on ships. This full-time role is with the technical services team at its yards in Schiedam and the Botlek, preparing technical projects and keeping the yard running well. The work is split between the office and time out on the yard.

The role:

• Prepare technical work and projects so colleagues can work safely, efficiently and to plan
• Draw up work plans and schedules, and make sure materials, tools and services are available on time
• Coordinate work between the yard, suppliers and internal departments
• Take part in technical projects on cranes, installations and other equipment at the Schiedam and Botlek yards
• Monitor progress, quality, safety and costs, stepping in when adjustments are needed
• Manage certificates and inspection reports for tools such as lifting gear, welding machines and measuring equipment
• Spot technical or operational bottlenecks and suggest practical solutions
• Keep technical documentation, project information and reports up to date

• MBO-4/HBO working and thinking level, with a technical background such as mechanical or electrical engineering
• Experience with planning and ERP systems and Microsoft Office is a strong advantage
• Strong planning and organising skills, able to manage several projects at once
• Good communication skills with colleagues and suppliers
