Staff Product Manager, Transactions & Trust

Collaborative Boating runs Boatsetter and GetMyBoat, the two largest marketplaces for booking days on the water, and is bringing them together on one platform. This is a remote, US-based role leading product for the payments and trust side of that platform, reporting to the Chief Product Officer and working in a pod with a dedicated designer.

The role:

• Own the full money path from booking to financial settlement, including checkout, payments, payouts, fees, insurance, credits and disputes, across both brands on web and mobile
• Set the strategy for insurance by region, including how coverage is verified and priced into an order
• Build a fee structure the business can adjust, with a clear breakdown for guests and operators
• Own how credits, trip changes and disputes are handled
• Lead the move to a single review system across both brands
• Track business outcomes such as checkout conversion, payment success, payout accuracy and dispute rates
• Work with finance, operations, support and insurance partners, and speak with guests and operators every week
• Mentor other product managers and help shape hiring

• Owned and authored strategy for checkout, payments or payouts in a two-sided marketplace with company-level impact
• Track record of hitting ambitious OKRs that crossed team lines
• Experience unblocking high-stakes decisions involving legal, finance, partners or leadership
• Experience making pricing or fees transparent without losing revenue
• Experience treating cancellation, refund, credit or dispute rules as product
• Experience improving other product managers through mentorship, hiring or ways of working
• Helpful but not required: insurance products, payment processors, configurable fee systems, chargeback operations, platform migrations, review systems, travel or rentals marketplaces
• High overlap with US Eastern hours; degrees welcome but not required
