Senior Communications Manager

Getmyboat and Boatsetter are boat rental marketplaces that connect people with fishing charters, sunset cruises, sailing trips and other days on the water. They are looking for a Senior Communications Manager to shape the business and consumer story of both brands. The role is fully remote within the United States.

The role:

• Manage and develop communications for both Boatsetter and Getmyboat, finding opportunities for each platform
• Set the overall communications strategy and look after day-to-day delivery
• Lead across four pillars: thought leadership, SEO/AEO, campaigns and new media
• Build relationships with journalists, newsletter writers and podcasters
• Secure coverage across business, consumer and lifestyle or outdoor press
• Work with the CEO on thought leadership, interviews, speaking opportunities and social presence
• Manage communications for product launches, company milestones and data reports
• Partner with the Brand Marketing Director and product teams on storytelling and campaigns

• 6–8+ years of professional communications experience securing top-tier coverage
• Established network in traditional and new media
• Experience working with agencies and in-house teams
• Strong portfolio showing strategic thinking and relationships with key outlets
• Experience building executive communications strategy, including press, speaking and social presence
• Strong writing skills and attention to detail
• Able to work autonomously in a fast-paced, remote-first environment
• Experience in outdoors, sports or travel is a plus
